Stunning New Discovery About the Female Butt
While going through a bunch of old fitness assessment documents I uncovered an amazing fact that I had to publish today…
Here’s the story…
Just this past week – I was able to finally fulfill a long-time dream of mine…. Which is the dream of working from home – but even more significant is the fact that I can now actually work in any location – I’m no longer tied to an office or a training studio…
The WORLD is now ‘my office’ – (as long as I have a laptop and ‘net access
)
So, as I was clearing out my office and sorting what to keep and what to get rid of – I had a chance to start going through about 380 fitness assessments from clients I’ve trained during the last 16 years or so… most of them women…
While doing this I uncovered something so insightful – so powerful – that I had to share it…
In my questionnaire for new clients – there was a section they’d fill out that asked “What are your top 3 Goals You Want to Reach?”
I started noticing how many women were listing some kind of improvement with their butt… It was something I never quite picked up during my full-time training days – I guess I was ‘too close to see it’…
Anyway – the truly surprising discovery was that these women who listed their butt as the # 1 priority for improvement – had the highest percentage of overall success in regards to achieving their goals – most of which had to do with getting their bodies into some kind of respectable shape – WITH emphasis on the BUTTOCKS region…
The more I went through these fitness profiles the more this relationship was becoming evident…
Women who wanted to fix their butt, more than any other region of their body were the most successful at fixing their butt problem issues AND getting the rest of their bodies in great shape as well… And the number was significant… Definitely not a fluke…
And so I had to try to figure out why of course…
And the only thing I could think of is the butt means so much to a woman in terms of her self esteem, the types of clothing she wears, her options when shopping for various articles of clothing, the attention she gets from her man or men in general, and how she feels about herself when she looks in the mirror at her backside, etc, etc… – that she is willing to put enough time, energy and effort into getting the desired results that the rest of her body getting in shape is a mere side effect of her drive and determination to literally “save her ass”…
It may have been that the focus was so concentrated and intentionally directed that being overwhelmed by all the other elements that usually distract so many women – simply were a non-factor – and the typical challenges and obstacles were non-existent – in other words they didn’t stand a chance against the ‘committed spirit’…
This finding was very energizing to me… As you might remember I mentioned in recent article that I’m working on a website/program that will be primarily focused on the female butt and fixing the various types of problem butts that women suffer from…. Finding this kind of amazing reinforcement of the concept is very promising as we are now factoring this into the final edition of this program, before we make it publicly available…
The way it’s designed basically guarantees your success – and that you will improve your butt and keep the improvements FOREVER…

I lost about 50 pounds 5 years ago and my butt was the first to go. I became very ill, and it just fell off me. I am somewhat healthier and live in a warmer climate (100 degrees more than half the year) and dont get a lot of excersize. I also dont have the property of land I took care of. The excersize in keeping that property kept me in very good physical shape. I am in a condo with nothing to do and my butt has turned into nothing but skin. Very unattractive! Needless to say my arms and legs, not to mention my back are nothing but mush. I cant get motivated to save me. I am not in a relationship as I am so disgusted with my body. I have acute asthma and severe allergies. What do you think?
i have always had a ‘flat’ butt. i was not very athletic in school and i have always been tall. i still consider myself a ‘looker’ and never lacked in attention from the opposite sex. i am 45 now and since all the rave about a big ‘booty’ these last few years, i have felt left out. when i was growing up it was popular to have a small behind and curvy hips, big boobs and thin lips w/a toothy smile. most jeans are now made for ‘apple bottoms’ and i am tired of NEVER filling the seat of my pants and skirts. i do exercise and am very active. my results? well, lets just say , none in the butt area. Pleas help w/any suggestions! i am not getting any younger
this is a very important topic u have tackled but to be efeective in affecting these types of women u must figure out simple exercise to be done anywhere and doesnt require enough time or equipments..it’s challenging but i amsure u can do it

I used to get called “sweetass” (play on sweetheart) by all my male friends but then I began to tackle the last year of high school and with the increased workload I lost the motivation to keep exercising. Now it’s only 6 months after I stopped exercising and I’ve delevoped a whole lot of cellulite on my thighs and butt. I want the cellulite to go!!!!!!! all of it.
I want the butt to tighten at the sides and bottom; the lumps of fat on the top near the hips (that appear when you clench ur butt) to tone; and the whole lot to lift and become ‘perky’ again.
oh yeah. I’d love to know some stretches specifically for the buttocks because mine always gets really sore.

Im now 30 yrs old and i remember when i was in my teens i use to have a nice round perky butt. I have 2 daughters, one is 6yrs and the other only 2months and since having my girls, i now have no butt?! I have an active lifestyle and love sports but now that i have an infant, i dont quite have the time to do much. Would power walking be of any help. I would love to get my butt into shape again and lose the dimples on my thighs too!

I’m 27 and and african american female who has had a tremendous amount of pressure to have the sexiest Derriere….most men in my culture LOVE this area and it’s their favorite part on a women for the most part…However for me, I have everything but a nice shaped buttocks…..I’ve been called “awkward looking” and flat and wide…because I have DD breasts, Nice Curvy shapley hips, a nice waist line (could use some work too) and a flat BUTT….How embarrassing is this? Tell me about the Thigh Program… Where can I find that information as I need that almost as much as I need a butt workout. My bottom has so many dimples; I just hate that. How can I firm both up?
I am 32years old, 5′1″ , 98 lbs, and I have CELLULITE on my butt and thighs. Most people don’t believe me when I tell them I have cellulite because I am so thin, but it is true. I have 3 wonderful children, and after having each of them, I always returned to pre-pregnancy weight very quickly. However, following the birth of each child, the cellulite and flabbiness grew continually worse. I only gained about 20lbs with each child, but is seems like the skin on my backside never bounced back completely. I feel like my bottom is sliding down the back of my legs, and it is gathering a few lumps and bumps along the way. I’ve tried many different leg and butt machines with disappointing results. I am truly hoping your excercises really work to increase firmness and decrease appearance of cellulite. I don’t want to just look good in jeans…I want to look good NAKED!

Hey Joey, thanks for asking. In ‘04 I lost 70 lbs in 4 months by following a weight plan, walking 1 hr per day & drinking 1 gall of water per day. I also lost my butt. I had always had a really nice butt, in fact I questioned a man once about looking at my butt as I walked, and he remarked, “I’m not watching a butt, I’m watching a full grown ass”. Long story short, I’ve put the 70+ lbs back on & have embarked on a mission. I will turn 49 on Sept 18th, and I have promised myself to be a healthier, thinner, sexy looking 50 yr old next Sept. I will need to loose about 90 Lbs this time, and I want that sexy butt back as well. You can not imagine how excited I was when I read this article. PLEASE keep me in mind & informed. I used to be completely proportional, everywhere. Not too big, not too terribly small. After having 3 kids within 3 1/2 years, my friend and I were going jean shopping. She said to me, ” I never knew you had a flat butt.” To that I replied,”I have a flat butt?!!” Since I really don’t see much back there (because I don’t look), I had no idea things had changed. I have done a little research and found this can happen often after pregnancy.
Since then, I don’t know what exactly to do. How do you make a butt round again?

I have your program that targets Legs, Hips, Thighs and Butt and I followed it for a while with great results, BUTT I find it difficult to fit in an hour session when I also try to do Yoga, swimming and walking the dog! What I can say is that the fastest way to getting that tight, defined BUTT is skiing, unfortunately you can only do that for part of the year. Can you think of an exercise that mimics the effect of skiing?
Of course eating more helps fill it out but the side effects for the rest of the bod are not so pretty always, I want my BUTT to look big in those jeans!
Also, I noticed that the majority of older woman, say 60 upwards have no BUTT at all, is that genes or is it female hormones? Is it Estrogen or Progesterone that is responsible for a rounder, more pert BUTT?

Been a while since I have called you or Pam. I have just about all your programs now. However, I am VERY EXCITED to read about something coming soon for the BUTT!!! I read one of the replies and the individual mentioned when she was growing up, a flat butt was in. Well, I too remember those days. I have the chest-no big tooth grin though(whew), and a “bubble butt”. I am a shortie—5 foot even. My height does not bother me, but my butt does. Always got teased about my bubble butt. It needs to be lifted AND toned, too. I have always ben very self-conscious about my butt even when I weighed 108# many years ago. (I WILL do that again, too–no more when or if–I am learning that using positive statements do make a difference). Of course, the J-Lo butt is “in”. Nice if I could get something similar especially when the rest of me is finished with weight loss and toning. I say…KUDOS to you and bring it on!!!!!

I think I speak for most women when I say that the ever growing quest to find a workout regimen that will completely banish the appearance of cellulite is a long and frustrating process. I’ve heard that it is impossible to get rid of it.
My main rear concern is to get it from expanding any more than it has and to tighten up. And, of course, it goes without saying that getting rid of unsightly lumps in the rear and thighs would be the biggest help you could ever imagine.

But after doing 10laps of jogging around the park 3times a week i started to lose so much weight and alot came off my butt so now its way smaller and not as high as it was before. As I got older, I put on just enuff weight to stop being skinny and finally having a coca-cola shape body. I had recently lost 44 lbs, over the winter when I was stuck inside, I gained about 10lbs back. It seems it all went to my thighs and hips covering up the round little butt I had been showing off.
As I age (now 42) it has been more and more difficult to drop the pound and inches as it was just a few years ago.

I’m 5′1 and all my weight is in the middle,what concerns me the most is that area at the top of my BUTT, right where you’d grap your jeans to pull them down, if this was smaller I could get into smaller clothes, I’ve asked several trainers….What exactly is this??? Trust me ‘fat ass’ has become a nick name for me. I’m sure my bums alone account for one-fifth of my entire body weight. It’s totally out of proportion compared to my skinny upper body. It seems all the sugar and fat from the junk food I eat go directly down there. Pleease help!

I have a very flat bottom and always seem to have a bloated stomach. The rest of me is stick thin. The only time my stomach goes down is if i starve myself for few weeks by eating only once a day and is normally not much. I tried to eat 3 times a day of healthy food but only managed to put on weight and my stomach just got bigger, so i read i need to boost my metabolism by eating 5 to 6 small meals a day, well!!!! this just added to my already protruding bloated stomach. I dont do any exercise as such but am active in my work and home life, an am always on the go. I have tried every thing to firm and tighten the butt area and lose the podge but nothing works. Im at a loss as to what to do other than starve my self again but the dizzy spells get a bit much.

I have been doing your lower body exercise program. I love it and it kick my butt the next day. I dont have enough time in a evening to do the whole dvd so i do sections of it and then some cardio and strength training. I’m wondering if the exercise that we do will get rid of the dipples in my legs and butt. I’m not a large woman but i hate those dipples.

Okay, so this might be better put on perhaps the nutrition board, but I thought I’d post while I was thinking about it before I decide not to.
I’m in college and as a starting freshman, our school requires we use the “15 meal plan” which equates to 15 meals a week/whenever we choose within buisness hours.
The only problem – everything (even the veggies) are SOAKED in lard and butter. I mean, I know I’m living in “the South” and all that but come on! I let the stuff sit in my fridge for two hours once and the (what I thought was water) juice of the broccoli and zucchini/squash had solidified into a milky colored wax. It was SOLID. We were eating that!! D:
I need some serious survival tips for this stuff… my friends can afford to pick up their meals at Walmart ect, but if I’m forced to pay 300-500$ for a meal plan, I hate the idea of going to get food elsewhere. Are there some hidden nutritious foods anywhere on the menu?

But this is at least my third attempt! as I lost the others, the last lengthy one for omitting my email address?? . Id spent an age at it too, so boy did that make me mad, almost as much as sifting through endless repetitive comments about fat asses & diet. I’ve no problem with my body, which is still admired & whistled at & I’m 56 years young! Lucky I know, or not I dunno, I’ve 4 sister & a bro & we’re all different shapes, so I want to emphasis that it strikes me that mostly your clients, pupils, customers … whatever … seem to expect some sort of magic potion or miracle solution they can purchase that doesn’t entail discipline & healthy eating habits. Somehow I bet their eating habits are crap & admire you’re patience + the service you supply, as boy oh boy is it urgently needed. However, just like it’s taken so many years to screw up , it’s certainly not going to resolve itself without hard work & application, especially to begin with, so girls shake that bouty & MOVE …. I live in Europe in the center of a beautiful old city that’s gradually excluding gas guzzling cars, where it almost costs the price of a hotel room to park , so I don’t bother having one now my children have grown up. Instead I use a bicycle every day come rain or shine, along with climbing at least four steep flights of stairs many times a day, often with heavy bags … that it’s no longer noticeable & I often skip a few steps, or even run, using every opportunity to take advantage of a natural workout, if pressed for time, as often the case, being a v. busy women with a diverse career, entailing lots of travel. I’ve always tried keeping what I do stimulating & interesting & the reason I’ve taken a gym break this summer, as I got bored & lacked motivation, hense why i purchased your makeover, which I’ve perfected all summer, practising the bonus progs from Mike, Craig, Holly the odd days … so yes, I’ve chosen yours first, Holly shall be next for a change & Mike & Craig I slip to when I need some circuit & weight work. I’d like to add that a number of years back I had a nasty accident, resulting in the loss of feeling in my right hand, which entailed a nerve transplant from the side of my foot! to cut a long story short, I was skiing within days of the op. which, although a revolutionary procedure at the time, hasn’t been easy the past years, even if regarded a success & I still suffer much pain, especially when cold or oppressively humid, as was the case this summer. But I grin & bear it, with the constant reminder I’m LUCKY I’ve still got a functional hand at all!
Enough for now, keep up the good work, in answer to your queries … I chose you Joey, for your bright attitude & clear demonstrations, but now want to order the dvd to check my progress & structure.
I’m lucky enough to have a v. good appetite with healthy tastes. But as pointed out many times, your adviice is not impossible or so difficult., with practice & application, everyone, can change in reasonable time, more real exercise girls & less finger prodding complaining on line ! Variation is fun, especially when you look at your life another way, such as enjoying daily unavoidable tasks …

I’ve always had a butt. Just enough; not too big, not too flat, and for that I am grateful. But after four children and some weight gain over the years it began to look more like just a large, saggy ass! It took on that unmistakable drop down the center where the cheeks meet at the bottom of the pants and cellulite had taken up residence. Walking up hill during my walks has helped some but I want my butt to look awesome in a thong. So far, it doesn’t look too bad. I’ve lost plenty of weight too but the butt needs something more. i have been following your excersize giudlines for quiet sometime no, but i am 46 years in fairly good shape i work out 3 or more times a week, but i still have a hard sustainig my but t muscels that i want to keep it big nice and round. can you tell me what i need to do to inhance the but muscels?
I actually have been working out using free exercises on the internet. They have worked for EVERYWHERE but my thighs. I have started to develop more muscle in my thighs but I am not getting rid of the fat. The muscle is just pushing the fat out….looks AWFUL. I have saddlebags…and I dont just mean on my motorcycle. I want thinner thighs but I want muscle in them too. I want sexy feminine thighs that I feel good about. And I do get off my but and do stuff….I have a hard time eating healthy…not that I dont want to..I do…BADLY. But I am on an EXTREMELY tight budget and ya know…..all the healthy food is more expensive than the not so healthy food. I can only spend about $150 on TWO WEEKS worth of food. That is kinda stretching it. I have two boys and a husband sooo you know that that is not that much. PLEASE HELP ME

Hi Joey. I’m a man, and I’ve been using all of the information I can find for quite some time, and all the exercises suggested by you seem to be the most effective in building the shape I want.
I think that the only thing missing is a break down on what each exercise will do for the overall look of a butt and for which types.
A while back, I discovered a website that identified the different shapes. I found it to be verry informative (although somewhat objectifying)
I think that if you added some information about the different shaped butts and how your program can improve each one, then your program would be truly complete.
The website (which I do not precisely remember) was called assmatrix please do look into this.

I am in my late 20’s. I have been working out religiously for the past 8-9 years and have become super fit. There’s really no excersise that i cannot do or don’t enjoy doing. From running to rowing, cross training, cycline and weight lifting. I do it all! I’ve tried doing the heavy weights low reps and the lighter weights high reps., My diet is healthy, no junk. I prefer the taste of healthy food. I consume alot of fibre daily. If i had to say, I eat too little rather than eat too much. But I always have a tendancy to gain weight like mad on my lower body. I have no problems at all with my upper body. Toned and sculpted. My thighs and bum just do not get toned. The fat in that area is stuck. It wont go away and it wont firm up. It’s clumpy and lumpy. I don’t know what else I could possibly do apart from all the squats and lunges and jumping squats and jumping lunges. Step ups, running and leg press. U name it, I do it. Is there a reason this fat wont dissapear. My upper and lower body look like they belong to two different people. What can I do?
